Green Lake is a great lake to catch a mixed bag of fish. It is full of some nice size crappies and is home to above average walleye populations. Fish the shallow drop-offs at first ice for crappies. Use small jigs tipped with a minnow or maggots. Look for any present weeds as well, this tends to produce some decent crappie action at early ice. Head out towards the western side of lake during mid and late ice. Crappies will come through depths of 5-15 feet and will also bring along some decent bluegills and pike. Small glow jigs tipped with euro larvae are a good choice to start with. Walleyes can be found on the deep side of the 8 foot hump on the south side of the lake. Also look for them all season long near the point on the west side and the 30 foot depths on the east side. Kastermasters in blue/silver and green/silver tipped with a minnow work well. Also try a glow jig head tipped with a fathead minnow. Don't be afraid to set out a tip-up either, walleyes sometimes want a stationary bait. Put a medium sized shinner on the tip-up.
