Fished this afternoon the lake is mostly open water now. Ice fished the little bay just north of the boat ramp. Still had about 3" of ice, but with water on top running in your hole. Only got 2 small gills and 2 nice perch. I belive I will put away the ice gear for this season.

The report with posting date of 3/6/02 @ 10;20;57 was a report that I posted in February not today.
I was fishing Lake ovid this afternoon, The north end near the dam is open water. also several other spots are open. I fished near the boat ramp and had about 3" of white ice and about 3" of clear ice. I did very well on bluegills 7-71/2" and a 12 1/2" crappie. If you do go out be very carefull.

Fished this afternoon, about 7" of ice on the lake, but you have to take a long step to get on the ice.
Did very well on 6-8" gills, in about 8' of water.
