DOES ANYONE OUT THERE CHUM FOR PIKE THRU THE HOLE?IS IT LEGAL AND IF SO WHAT ARE THE BEST METHODS?DO THOSE LIQUID FISH ATTRACTORS WORK AT ALL???

I know in wisconsin its illegal to use chum in the holes..

in wisconsin you can use chum cans. just cant throw in any old chopped up fish, its gotta be something you can retrieve (no littering). take an old coffee can, punch a bunch of holes, chop up some smelt, dump it it, tape the cap on with a string running through and drop the stinky thing down a hole well in advanced from when you will be fishing (12-24 hours). when you come back a day later, the fishies should be waiting. try adding different "spices" like you would for carp or cats, try spam, not only a fav or mine (j/k), but also pike.

chum is anything you thow in the water to attract fish. for wisconsin, it is illegal, like scott said, but you can use a can or mesh bag that is retrievable. chop up some smelt, put it in an old coffee can with holes, run a string through the cover, tape it on, and drop it down the hole a day before you wanna fish in the area you wanna fish. come back the next day and drill holes around the area, if theres anything remotely close, they should be waiting for your bait when you drop it down the hole.

ya i used a 5lb bag that oranges come in. Mushed up a bunch of smelt, and swished it around in the hole and a bunch of bit and pieces fell,looked real good but it didnt work that day.

I know this will sound odd but try dumping plain sardeans down the hole(if it's legal in your home state)I've only tried it once but believe it or not it definetly seemed to make a difference.
