i use an 18" piece of 30# mono line with a #10 treble attached. works great for northern and walleye. keep an eye on leader after each fish. the pikes teeth will sometimes weaken them just run through your fingers if it feels rough simply cut a new leader.i have landed up to 25# pike with these without a problem!
