it's just a simple bell you can buy at a craft store you just tie it on your tipup flag when it goes up you will be suprised how far that sound will carry if you use small enough bells it shouldn't effect your tipup. try it it works quite well

GARY JUST STARTED USING SMALL BELLS ON MY TIP UPS THEY WORK AWESOME--THOSE EXTRA FEW SECONDS HEAD START THEY GIVE YOU TOWARDS THE HOLE TROUT FISHING MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

my dad has been using bells for years, it saves a lot of missed opportunities
