when using baitfish, scrape some of it's scales into the hole ur fishing in.

There is something to this, I have been known to do a little scale scraping myself... The scales trickling down the hole may attract bait fish and when scraped the minnow looks wounded... works best with shiners.

by the end of a week of ice fishing i just scrape off my fingers.
