Tosten, for panfish and trout, my go to jigs are Custom Jigs & Spins Demons size 8 yellow/orange glow and Lindy Little Joe Fat Boys size 6 on glow orange or glow chartreuse on 4 or 2 pound test line. Tip them with one waxworm or 2 maggots for best results on crappies, gills and perch. Small minnows work well also for slab crappies. Jig them about a foot off the bottom and you can't go wrong. If you have access to a flasher (sonar), then you can fish for the suspended fish. They retail for less than $1.00 each. Also, when bait is scarce, I've done well using the Custom Jigs & Spins Finesse Tails (Ratso and Shrimpo tails) rigged on 1/80 oz. jigheads in tandem (two or 3 tied onto your line).

Hope this helps, good luck!
