I fish the CT. River backwaters here in VT and jigging rapalas are the only way to go. Rainbow trout and plain silver seem to work best gold is good too. Just find a school and you will fill you bucket in an hour |

Posted At 19:50:07 01/21/2002 i grew up using rapella`s and that is one of the best hooks on the market. i have caught everything from 15lbjackfish to 6lb pickerel.my tackle box contains 2 in every size, with a variety of color - mostly natural.the last time i was at a store i noticed that several companies have their own version now , rapalla must be doing something right...watch where you buy them as they can range from 4.00 to 10.00 cdn.i use eyeballs hung from the belly tri hook.occasionally i will bait both ends too.if i have no eyeballs i use a small peice of steak. but change this once the steak changes to a white color.if they are biting they will bite this ,i have even caught perch with no bailt at all with these hooks. |
