To all those who look through frozen water, When jigging for your favorite species, watch your flasher and see how many "bottom" fish come up for your offering. Yes, even walleyes will come up a long ways to smack your bait!! tight lines, aye |

Posted At 12:45:24 12/11/2001 I agree. Numerous times I have been tagged by aggressive walleyes that attack up. The most aggressive fish will chase anything. Watch for fish to appear higher up as well, those tend to be the larger fish. |

Posted At 14:48:21 12/28/2001 Very true, guys. The placement of a gamefish's eyes has a lot to to with it. Looking upwards to feed is far more natural for them than looking down. When trolling, you're better to be 5 feet high than 2 feet low! This is especially true for crappies. |
