using an under water camera is the latest one learns alot about jigging gills are fussy some take your offering some don't finding out there's alot more fish down their than thought it's the bait your using also the jigging action used, color of bait, when using the camera you see what it takes to catch the gill sometimes they suck it in and you never know it that's when you should stike gills won't even move the bobber or tip of the pole when this happens therefore don't give up try a differnt bait , color, or jigging tec.for morre info on this type of fishing e-mail me also you can catch two to one when using camera

Hi Sporty! I was thinking of getting a camera but have heard some negative things about them. One was debris in the water or stained water made it very hard to see.Another was the camera can spin making it very hard to see.The last was the price. What camera do you use and how has it worked out? Doug

While fishing in Edinboro Lake here in Pa.last winter. After locating fish with my fish finder; Vexilar FL-8 and caught several nice bluegill; they shut off all at once;biteing. A person with a underwater camera near by trying to locate a place to set up came over to where i was fishing and ask me how i was doing. when telling him;good, until they just shut off. Useully at this spot and time they bite good for about 1 1/2 hours. Being courious as to why today they all of a sudden quit bitting; I asked him to put his camera down the hole. I got my answer real quick. A lunker largemouth bass had moved in; and was sitting there about a foot off the bottem. Here where i was fishing; it was really weedy; but the camera showed up real good. I was Impressed with the quality of what i saw !! Good Luck to all you Ice Fishermen this year. Carl

I have had simliar encounters were larger fish come through and spook the panfish. Every once and a while I will see the FL-8 screen go blank and then a quick flash will appear and then followed by a jerk on my rod quickly breaking the line. Pike and walleye swim through schools of panfish and feed aggressively and devour everything in their paths including tiny lures.
