I've ice-fished Montana lakes for 30 years, and I have just the opposite problem - I catch lots of trout, but the perch are usually about 4 inchers. Fish a black woolybugger (preferably with silver or purple chenille) tipped with 3 maggots 6-8 feet below the ice surface. Use a rod saver, or you'll be loosing them down the hole. |
