First of all, being a "cheesehead" can't be easy-move across the border to Mn. (kidding) You don't state what size hooks you are using. I would switch to a swedish pimple, or a jig with a simple verticle movement-with some flash to it. Make sure the hooks are the right size for the fish expected to be in your lake/river. Also, location, location, location. Make sure you are using the structure of the lake to your benefit. Every lake has some structure, even if it's just a sharp breaking weedline, it's different than the other 90 percent of the lake. Are you tipping your Rapalas with a minnow head? Grizz |
