I've been on the ice for a while,and have a bad back, 20yrs. of construction. Most of us are'nt getting any younger, also most of us use pails to sit on. If you have an extra pail try this- find two that fit together well (preferably two from the same maker) sacrifice one! cut it off below the bottom ribs (old -dull paneling blades on circ. saw work good, or a jig-saw) leave about 3" below the bottom ridges and glue the two pieces together (I like silicone) this will give you a seat height of about 18" which is much more comfortable than the standard 14-15" bucket. Want it taller sacrifce another bucket. File the inside edge after the cut or cuts and it won't hang your line up! Good Luck & Tight Lines Jon V. |
