Hello Trapper.....We've been using eagle claw rubber and bead combo's that we buy at k-mart, however, even tho they are marked for 2-4, and 4-6 pound line, they do not prevent the slip thru balsa bobbers from running up our lines....so I've started tieing an overhand knot on the rubber piece....and it's worked fairly well...if the knot tension is just right... HOWEVER, I DO NOT INTEND TO BUY THESE BUGGERS any longer.....when I'm out....I'm out...so.. I've been wondering about a new method....was even thinking about simply tieing a knot on the bare line ( without the rubber under the knot ) but I think repositioning the stopper would/may become difficult. FINALLY TO THE POINT.......I was wondering if you could describe your technique in a bit more detail...I don't follow where you use the surgical tubing...on the line ? Wouldn't that diameter " hang up " in the rods eyes ? I'll check with a friend about the tubing you are looking for and if obtainable, will mail some to you... IF ANYONE ELSE HAS SUGGESTIONS ON BOBBER STOPS FOR SLIP BOBBERS ON LITE TO ULTRALITE LINE...2-4 POUND TEST I WOULD CERTAINLY APPRECIATE HEARING YOUR IDEAS... Best wishes for fishes........" 2new2ice " |
