Tosten, for panfish and trout, try using size 6 Lindy Little Joe Fat Boys in glow orange or glow chartreuse, or size 8 Custom Jigs & Spins Demons in glow yellow/orange tipped with maggots or wax worms. Use light line (2 or 4 lb. test) and aggressively jig them a foot off the bottom for best results. If you have access to use of a flasher (sonar), then that will help you find suspended fish. These jigs sell for less than a dollar each. Also, Custom Jigs & Spins finesse tails (Ratso and/or Shrimpo tails) in the glow colors work well on 1/80 oz. jigheads when bait is scarce, sometimes better than bait. They are about $1.20 for a ten pack. Hope this helps you catch a few more fish. |
