i am looking to buy a vexilar, fl-18 or fl-8. im not sure of the one that i want. can someone help on info? iam also confuised about self leveling is this something that ill be sorry i dont have or is it something extra that i wont even know?

it depends on the depths of the lakes you fish on??? if they aren't that deep then i would get the fl-8(i have one and mainly fish on a lake that is 20 ft deep at the deepest point). if u don't mind spending the extra money i would get the fl-18 on a deeper lake to zero in on the bottom better but it isn't going to be a huge advantage. u definitely should get the self-leveling package, but i think they come standard with vexilars these days anyways. go to www.vexilar.com to find out more

MY FL-8 IS GETTING LESS AND LESS SENSITIVE TRIED A NEW BATTERY BUT NO GOOD. WHAT'S UP? APPROX. 5 YEARS OLD.CAN'T LIVE WIYH OUT IT!
