jim, i have an old tractor and it was made to run on leaded gas as well. one day the head blew and i was told that the missing lead was the problem . i have since rebuilt the head with new seats and do not require any leaded gas .i beleive that if the auger is worth anything - take to a mechanic and ask if a lead additive is available for the auger. it was for the tractor but i found out to late. |
