My blades need sharpening. I used to have the instructions on how to do this by hand, but cannot find them. Can you supply? I use stone and not a machine. Thanks...ch

auger not cutting good, blades are sharp but still not cutting. ant ideas would be great. thanks

Hey Zach, I had this problem once. Believe it or not I had the blades on inncorrectly. Make sure the blades form a point on the ice side. I have a hand auger, 8" and i mistakingly put the blades on in reverse order(i.e the left on the right and vise versa) and it cut lousy, barely at all. Maybe its just my foolish mistake, but you never know, check it out. Good luck.

I have had good luck using my Lansky knife sharpening kit. It clamps to the blades and allows you to sharpen at a controled angle.
