the only way to properly vent is to let the heat out as we all do it defeates the purpose but it means having fresh air !

I installed a 4" diameter plastic vent in my ice shack which can be opened and closed. This allows you to control airflow and shut it on warmer days, when you don't use propane. Should be availalbe at any hardware store...it works well.

Don't ever run a heater without any ventilation. I have a Mr. Heater on a 5# propane
tank in my Fishtrap Pro and even with the vents open it produces plenty of heat.

The manual with the heater gives specific ventilation needs. Some of the catalytic heaters
are supposed to be safe without ventilation but I would still want some type of air movement.

I use a floor grate from a forced air heating system.
It has closable flaps and can be opened a little or alot depending on your needs
you can get these at your local hardware store cheep
