My first drill was a manual corkscrew in 1980, did not work well, I was told the shims were off. Returned it for a Jiffy Model 30 with a 9" blade and would purchase it again if I needed one. The first 10 years I was the only fisherman to have this expensive piece of equiptment, so it received a lot of abuse and never let me down here in Pennsylvania. (Going out now to check the local spots, if good I will borrow the spud bar or corkscrew for Saturday morning until the ice gets a good 5")

Hi George,

I read your posting, saw you are from Pennsylvania like myself. Where do you ice fish in PA? Have you checked the ice yet? I'm hoping to be on the ice next week. Let me know what the ice is like if you find out.

Thanks
Jim
