Take a piece of stirdy scrap wood of any kind-(about long enough to lay over a five gallon bucket).take another strip of wood about 1/2in.by1/2in.(you can cut this out of 1/4in. plywood) Tack it to the bottem of the seat with SHORT screws or nails-try to center it. Get any old 5gallon bucket, lay the seat on the center of the bucket, and draw lines on the wood against the bucket. This way you can cut out gruves, so the seat will sit on the bucket without moving. Now you can put all your fishing stuff in the bucket, and with out dumping it all out sit on the bucket!!!!!!!!!!!

two things , cut a "v" in the seat cover about 4 inches deep( depending on your needs)to allow for the longer items to stick out when you are carrying them. the next thing is to put a 4 inch deep v hindge (can`t think of the hindge name.)180 degrees from the opening and attach through the plastic pail with bolts or large rivits.you will never loose the seat this way and it will not fall apart.you will have to offset the seat a bit to allow it to open freely. carpet on top helps keep the hemmoroides at bay...i have as well made a metal rod holder and bolted in the "v" opening .allows for your hands to be free when taking off fish.
